DESCRIPTION:
The University of Coimbra (UC) GCSE is a public university located in the city of Coimbra, Portugal. It is one of the oldest universities in the world still in operation, being the oldest and one of the largest in the country.
Its history goes back to the century following that of the foundation of the Portuguese nation, since it was created on March 1, 1290, when King Dinis I signed the document Scientiae thesaurus mirabilis in Leiria, creating the university, which was intermediated and confirmed by the Pope. Definitely established in the city of Coimbra in 1537, seven years later all its faculties settle in the old Royal Palace of the Alcáçova (denominated Paço das Escolas after its acquisition by University of Coimbra in 1597).
CURIOSITIES:
The University of Coimbra has approximately 25,000 students, comprising one of the largest international student communities in Portugal, and its most cosmopolitan university. In addition, he is the founding member of the so-called Coimbra Group, a network of European universities whose objective is academic collaboration among the group's members. On 22 June 2013 it was declared a World Heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

PORTUGAL DOS PEQUENITOS

DESCRIPTION:
Located in Coimbra, Portugal dos Pequenitos is since 8 June 1940, the date of its inauguration, a ludic-pedagogical park destined essentially for the Child.
Born by the hand and genius of Bissaya Barreto and designed by the architect Cassiano Branco, he has been a member of the Bissaya Barreto Foundation since 1959, which is patronized by this illustrious Professor.
Living Portugal's portrait and the Portuguese presence in the world, Portugal dos Pequenitos is still a historical and pedagogical reference for many generations.
Besides being a space for approaching cultures and crossing people, Portugal dos Pequenitos is also a well-known example of sculptural and architectural art, which, through miniature and minutia, still enchant children, young people and adults.
